I have a plasma 42inches TC-p42gt25, I have had it for 3 years. The problem started last week.....the power will turn on but the picture and the sound refused to work. After 5 to 10 times of turning it on and off.....the picture and sound comes on. It's taking me almost 20 times now of on and off before I could watch TV. With little technical know-how that I possessed, I figured out that maybe it's the Main Board panel that needs to be fixed.

I need your expertise as I'm thinking maybe you could tell me what actually might need to be changed!

    I live in Saskatoon, Canada.

Please let me know what your suggestion is?

    Thanks

    Drocker,

To me sounds like a bad capacitor on the power supply board. Access the power supply board and check for bulge capacitors.

Also, there is a thread for the specific TV you have, any other questions pertaining to that TV, please use that thread to ask questions.

    Thanks

Factory Reset of Dynex DX-55L150A11 issues

Thanks to this great forum and thread, I was able to access the service menu of a Dynex DX-55L150A11 and make the necessary changes. The issue I'm having now is that the set requests me to select language preference, picture mode and signal input every time the set is turned on. I'd appreciate any suggestions to alleviate this issue. Thanks

        Re: Factory Resets Listing

Does anyone know the factory reset sequence for a LG 60PS80-UA plasma? I can get into service mode by pressing the menu button on the TV and the remote simultaneously for a few seconds and then entering 0000 as the PIN.

Among the many options there, I can't find any that seem to be a factory reset.

        Thanks for any input!

        God bless you,
        D. R.

          service menu.

global. When in either the yellow or red CHK mode, you can press
RECALL on the remote control to enter the purity field check mode.
This lets you select a pure white, red, green, or blue screen. A

out the floor manager, but it will be fixed as soon as the TV is
          turned off. Oh well.

receiver simultaneously for at least 2 seconds. The TV will momentarily

Before adjustments can be performed, you must enter the password code to enable the FPA (or remote) for access. Use the {VOL +) button to change V:0 to V:76. Once this is done, you can now change the parameter setting for the desired function.
Be sure to write down the V: settings PRIOR to making changes in the event you need to revert.

                        Re: Factory Resets Listing

This is great info, but would you know what to do if the remote control is not functioning? I was told to reset to factory defaults using this method to get my IR receiver to see my remote again. Without a remote I cannot currently enter any numbers thus I am stuck. Thoughts? Thanks much for all the help.

I hope some may find this information useful

                        **** WARNING!!!! ******

Some of these procedures may allow you to enter factory service modes. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, DO NOT MAKE CHANGES TO SETTINGS IN FACTORY MODES!! Improper settings may cause undesired operation, and could result in a situation where your TV cannot boot/turn on.

YOU ARE USING THESE PROCEDURES AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

                        Factory Resets / modes

For all listed procedures, start with TV on, in TV mode, unless otherwise instructed. After procedure is complete, unplug set and re-plug in to finish reset.

If more than one procedure is listed for a given manufacturer, try the different ones until you see which one works for your set.

BEFORE YOU buy a new main board board for any Vizio TV that is stuck on the Vizio logo try to reset the tv by doing these steps. I had to turn tv on then hold down on menu on keypad and press menu on the remote then release menu button on remote and press 1991 on remote then let go of menu on tv. Once your there go down to reset tv and it should re flash eeprom chip and that's it. It worked for me.
