Part identification help please - 3t1

    Apple Celetronix PSU

Trying to find the ID of this 6 legged SMD.

    Marking on device - 3t1 ?

Tiny 6 pin packages near the 339's.

    EDIT: Dimensions(mm) - 2.1 L x 1.4 W x 1 H

Got one here that's -kapow!-, along with a bunch of other items.

    I'll get pics up later.

HI Toasty, I've been working on this for a couple hours now and nothing but brick walls

A friend of a friend whos is a parts guru is checking on this as well.

I will check back with him in the morning.

      Good luck

        FOUND! - 3t1 aka: PUMD13

Got It! Woot! Talk about obscure information...

        PUMD13 marking: 3t1
        Package is SOT363 / SC-88

        NXP Semiconductors by Phillips

A PNP & NPN dual transistor package with resistors built into the base leg and across the base-emitter legs of each.

        See Attached datasheet.

Mouser has them @ $0.06 each. Wow, expensive.

Great to hear you found it!

My guy was not even close.

When you get a chance, how the _ell did you find it?

These with resistors across these transistors as described are designed as digital switch. Impossible to measure especially if leaky. I had to replace number of SMD (usually PNP or NPN digital switches. JVC are infamous for this especially after power surges, didn't read like short but they literally leaked or misbehaved badly.

Re: Part identification help please - 3t1

It was a combination of trying many combos through Google and absolute dumb luck that I -stumbled- across the information.

None of the "SMD number lists" out there yielded any results. Not even close.

A Google of "dual transistor 3t1 6 pin" landed me out on a parts list for a Nokia phone that listed the number. I knew then that it was valid, I just had to keep digging. It also gave me a package type SOT363, so I used that also.

              {They have it listed as a .3t1 - LOL! The . is the Pin 1 designator!}

I had tried various words like dual mosfet, mosfet 6 pin, transistor 6 pin, with little success.

When I did SOT363 3t1, that rendered a hit from datasheetarchive, and when the page came up, it showed the -real- part number, PUMD13. The rest is history. I D/L'd all the PDF sheets for these numbers from NXP/Phillips so the next time I don't have to go digging. Saved them with all the marking variations in the filenames. 3t1, 3p1, 3W1, etc.
