Marantz 74CD80/04B Optical port required

Hi all, this is an unusual one, as it has four pins instead of the three, I'm used to seeing.

Port is manufactured by Toshiba & can't seem to locate one.

Couldn't find an exact datasheet for it but the one for TOTX173 looks like a match, as I have proved pin 1 GND & pin 3 VCC are same.

Can anyone help?

The totx172 and totx173 seem to be the same, the (8.2k) resistor is current limiting for the L.E.D. the txt177 is the newer 3 pin version, it functions the same but does not require the external resistor. (but the pins would obviously not line up with the 4 pin version)

I couldn't find a decent datasheet for the TOTX172. It's used in a few other CD players.
TOTX17_ is 5V, TOTX14_ is 3.3V power.
TOTX173 is a 5V part, 6MB/sec. so it can't do 192kHz. The only risk is the speed rating. I would say it would work fine.

The 173 differs, as it seems to be an upright type,but as a last resort will have to make it fit.
