I've just looked up the components on my board, the component on the top has the marking A09T (https://www.sunrom.com/p/ao3400-a09t-sot-23-n-ch-mosfet) and the second one has VBA1206 (http://vbsemi.cn/index.php?id=7289). Maybe you can help me too, i need the resistor value on R26, its next to the usb-c port.

find datasheet for that shorted ic and it should have a circuit diagram so you can get clues as to what it was ,

Where did the original part go? looks like someone removed it, some sort of battery protection?
The ic is a Microne ME4057

lots of hits on that google .
cant make out what those soldered bits go but maybe solder them properly .

thanks petehall347 i did have a look at that datasheet. bit new to this and just learning but the part thats missing has 3 pads top and 2 pads bottom so will have todo a bit of google see if i can find anything.
them soldered bits just link together lol .... god knows

my VC04 board looks totally different to Ariu pic of his board... so im guessing its a copy or a older or newer board.

just looking on the board, cud it be one of them 321

My guess is the missing 20t23-5 is something like a RY2201 or XB5353A
Can you trace the pins of the sot23-5 to see where they connect?

R J your prob right mate..... but i dont have a clue LOL

all i know is if it is a Max1551/1555 ive tryed this

pin 4 and pin 5 of where the max1551/55 is ment to be is connected together on my board!
so if i connect one of them..... pin 4 or 5 to pin 2 on my board it works lol and chargers the batts.

so im lost as to whats going on LOL

an thanks so much for tryin to help a noob with his probs,... your a proper star pal,... iam learning n prob shud done that befor buy all the kit! but hay where is the fun in that LOL
in my defence im going to blame my mate vince from youtube and richard from learning electronics also youtube LOL but hay we all got to start somewhere
