    Exploring Arduino book

Am going through the Exploring Arduino 2nd edition by Jeremy Blum. One of the projects is a servo motor being controlled by the Arduino that is powered by a separate 5v supply the author suggests to build. Is a 7805 regulator with two 10uf electrolytic caps. One running from power in lead to ground, the other from power out to ground. The servo sounded like hell. I double checked, replaced, then completely removed both caps. After removing, the servo ran a lot better. I've noticed the author suggests this power supply setup in a few projects. Should i just completely do away with the caps on the 7805 from here on out?

And leave the 10uf caps, or remove those?
