With power off, meter in resistance mode, what is the resistance of the 19v rail (input) to ground?

Is your charger suitable for this box and can supply the required current?

Some over load event is causing the external power supply to shut down.

      Re: Acer E5-411 shorted

Remove PU2 and PR19. Now measure resistance on both pads of PR19. Inject voltage on the shorted pad and findout what is shorted. Simple.

Short to ground is most likely on VSYS.
