Post a good clear picture of the white sticker on the motherboard,the one with the QR code on it ,like the one at post #6
It turns out that the problem was the load switch. I cant identify the original part but i replaced it with TPS22961from a donor board. Unit turns on with battery power only. Can't turn on with AC adapter plugged in. It draws 0.04A in my bench PSU.
If it is totally dead it has a hardware problem, hook it up to a bench power supply and look at miliamps consumed. Power button not pressed should be around 25-35 mA, once pressed, if no battery, from 600mA to 1.5A, depending on laptop. Gaming laptops draw a lot. Check for the 5V and 3.3V voltage rails, particularly at leg 8 of BIOS chip, 3.3V or 1.8V for new ones.
