    In which of the 2 boards was the faulty diode?

    I have a similar case with the same UPS.

      it's TO-220-2L part, 8 A/1200 V, you should find it easily

      should be on HV side (likely PFC), attached to some heatsink, and most other parts looking as TO-247 and similar packages, just have a look around
