LG 47LV3530-TK TV Not Powering on

    Hi,

Please could someone assist. Ive never tried to repair a TV before so please bare with me, Any advice is appreciated.

My LG TV wont power on and the standby light is also off. Ive checked the Standy voltage and is present and steady 3.3V. Does this mean the power board is ok and problem lays with the Main logic board?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Re: LG 47LV3530-TK TV Not Powering on

As seen in the Pic attached i also have the following voltages present.

    N.C Error = 0V
    12V PWM = 12V
    12V N.C = 12V
    12V DRV - ON = 12V
    GND VSYNC = 0V
    GND GND = 0V
    3.5V 3.5V = 3.5V
    3.5V 3.5V = 3.5V
    GND GND = 0V
    GND GND = 0V
    24V 24V = 24V
    PWR-ON 24V = 3.5V

After unplugging the AC and Disconnecting the cable to the main logic board and taking the voltage measurements again the voltages are as follows. None of the voltages are present and both the 3.5V lines are fluctuating like crazy.

      N.C Error = 0V
      12V PWM = 0V
      12V N.C = 0V
      12V DRV - ON = 0V
      GND VSYNC = 0V
      GND GND = 0V
      3.5V 3.5V = Fluctuating up and down
      3.5V 3.5V = Fluctuating up and down
      GND GND = 0V
      GND GND = 0V
      24V 24V = 0V
      PWR-ON 24V = 0V

Re: LG 47LV3530-TK TV Not Powering on

There is fluctuation at the output, due to the fact that there is no load on 3.5v.
And the rest of the power is missing, because there is no power to turn on, which falls from the motherboard (PWR-ON: 3.5v).

Thanks for the reply. I also had a look at the main logic board under a thermal cam and the main BGA Chip and what looks like a small transistor seem to be getting very hot. i cant even touch the BGA chip its so hot. Do you think the main logic board has failed?
