Reminder: rules and organization of this section

Activity on this forum has been increasing steadily and the workload for the moderation team as well in order to keep the place clean, so please make an effort to keep it organized.
I've been deleting more and more posts that make a mess, so take a minute before posting to make sure you make a proper request/offer.

Reminder about the rules and the organization of the "Troubleshooting Laptops, Tablets, and Mobile Devices" section.

This section and its subsections are about the following classes of devices:
    • Laptops
    • Phones
    • Tablets
    • Other mobile devices such as wearables

    In this section go:
    • Request for troubleshooting assistance
    • Troubleshooting and repair guides
    • Case study of a repair
    • Repair tips and tricks
    • General documentation

Please read and follow the Beginner's guidelines first: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=88758
For each new case please open a new topic, do not post under someone else's topic unless you have something to contribute.
If you request/offer BIOS/schematics/boardviews, please post in the appropriate subsection, and you can link to it in the troubleshooting topic.

In the "BIOS Requests ONLY!" subsection go:
    • Requests for BIOS or other firmware
    • Requests for password unlock
    • Offers for BIOS or other firmware

In the "Schematic Requests ONLY!" subsection go:
    • Requests for schematics, boardviews and documentation about a specific device
    • Offers for schematics, boardviews and documentation about a specific device

For BIOS/schematics, post under an existing topic for your device if it exists, otherwise open a new topic in the appropriate subsection. Do not post under a topic for a different model.
As a reminder, please read the rules https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=103570 and the resource thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=103526 .

Other sections exist for other kind of devices (desktops, power supplies, etc…), consult the index of the forum and choose the appropriate section: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/index.php .

If you see a request that is misplaced or do not follow the rules, please do not follow up on it.
It makes our job harder when we have to delete/shuffle things around to try and keep it organized.

PS: I know people who do not make proper requests will not read this message anyway, their posts will simply be deleted but this is mostly to inform the regulars and the newcomers who are not sure how to proceed.

right, moderators are wasting their time to remind the rules to those who don't follow them instead of spending time helping them.
        ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests
        all donations are welcome,
see the donate button at the bottom of the page, or
        >>>>>
click on this link to donate via PayPal. <<<<<
Every donation made will go towards server fees and maintenance costs.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. Moderators play a crucial role in ensuring that our community adheres to the rules and operates smoothly. While it's true that they remind users of the rules, they also dedicate a significant amount of their time to helping and supporting members of the community. This balance is essential for maintaining a healthy environment for all users.
