    Samsung UN50MU6300

Take a look at the attached pic. The whole image (not the backlight) on the screen is flickering. A ghost image will pop up above the actual image and flicker in and out rapidly and then go away for a few sec and then do it again. When this happens it affects the whole screen not just one section. The longer the TV runs the less the flickering until after about 30 mins the flickering goes away completely and the picture will be great for the rest of the time the TV stays on. So the TV running and warming up makes the problem go away. This TV only has two boards the power supply and main. The Tcon is built into the main board. Question: Is this flickering problem due to a bad Tcon section on the main board or a bad panel? thanks, Lee

Somebody washed the TV literally. The water ran into the tab bonds.

So the water is shorting some of the tabs? If running the TV temporarily clears the short there can't be much water there. Do u think heating the tabs with a hair dryer might fix this problem? Any ideas other than taking it to the dump?

The water is probably long gone now, but it did separate the tab bonds from the panel somewhat. You can try squeezing hard around the bezel and see if the screen returns to normal. You can also disassemble the TV and put your finger on each tab bond and see which one(s) are the problem. I used to shim the problematic tab bond by using heat conductive pads or a piece of an eraser. It would last for quite a while. Nope... heating it won't fix it. All you can do is put constant pressure on it.
Nuke option: buy a new one, turn the backlights down to 75% and don't wash it!

I don't think this tv has got side tabs, i'ts not a washing issue but an intermittent short on a gate driver, already seen so many times, possible fix the tape method...
