Help repairing a missing trace

I could really use some help figuering out the best way to repair this trace for a Mini B 5 usb connector on this ridiculously small Trio Tablet/MP3 player that belongs to my granddaughter, I'm not the best "Solder Tech" (Probably one of the worst lol!) so I tend to stay away from small stuff like this, but this time I promised. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. The pic isn't the best, it's the first connection of 5 between the connector pads, I tried to draw a red line, but now that I posted it I can hardly see it!

Lots of flux.

Put flux on the traces and the sides. Put solder on the tip of the iron, move the tip over the traces and the sides of socket so that solder goes down on them. If needed, add solder to the tip. The liquid flux you applied before will make sure the solder adheres to the traces. Once solder hardens add a bit more flux.

Flux the socket and the pins.

Put fresh solder on the tip, put the socket over the traces, put the tip over the pins and sides and gently apply a bit of pressure until solder flows.

If you try to bridge the gap with solder the constant flexing will break it. Get the first 4 attached then bridge with a single strand of wire.

That missing trace looks like it is for the Ground pin (pin5), if it is, you can connect that pin to the ground plane of the board, the body of the USB socket is also connected to the ground.

Personally, after I got it soldered in and any flux residue removed, I'd put a bead of epoxy around the socket (avoiding letting it get in any seams or holes in it) to fortify the area.
