I once faced such an issue with dell n5010 mb. Ultimately, had to replace the pch to solve it. may not be the case here.

Check lvds socket on main board, maybe you have bent pins?

Did a quick search and the LCD Panel model seems compatible.
Image on external screen through VGA connector is OK? (I know you tested external screen but do not know if HDMI or other output)

Probably nothing will change. Was curious about it as the colors are clearly divided on the VGA and though that maybe they were shorted on the PCH, but this is probably a misconception on my part due to my limited knowledge on the subject.

If the screen panel, the LVDS connector and the cable are good then I'd rather think it is the PCH.

If I'm not mistaken the color behavior can be related to the LVDS data signals:
                              LVDS_A0#
                              LVDS_A1#
                              LVDS_A2#
                              LVDS_A0
                              LVDS_A1
                              LVDS_A2

Some measurements can be done on them (pin 13 to 18, on the LVDS connector on the board) with a multi-meter on diode mode to measure resistance to ground, and with and oscilloscope to read and compare the positive/negative signals of the three data line pairs: a significant difference on a data line could indicate a problem. As they connect directly to the PCH that's probably the culprit.

Some more seasoned members could have a better explanation for it and correct me where I am wrong. Learning is a long journey.
