Citreon C3 car radio poor reception

I have a problem with the radio in my car ,its been going on for some time now.
Just poor radio reception,it has got a small aerial at the back of the car .
I can see a nut head holding the aerial by looking through a hole where the rear light dome is ,but it looks as if I will have to remove the roof lineing to get at it.
What I dont know if there is an amplifier any where ?
I think its a Bosch radio but it does not have a name on it.
Does any body have any info on this?

Managed to get the aerial off the car .
There is an amplifier in the base of it ,and its wet .
So I will dry it out and try it.

If you would like to post a few pictures, that might help someone in the future, after drying it, check that there are no corroded traces or components.

Make sure the antenna preamp is still getting power from the radio.
Sometimes aftermarket installers disconnect the (antenna) power feed wire from the stereo.
