    gtx1080 Palit jetstream

    Trying to repair this.
    I have 12v,5v,3.3v and 1.8v
I have vcc 5v on pin 12 of up9511 and 2.3v on pin 36 en.
there is 2.4v on vref pin 2 so i assume the chip is good.
It did have short on vrm 2 fuses were blown these I have replaced along with mosfet.
    Bit stuck now.
    Pcie lanes all look good
and all resistances on 1.8v and pex are very close to another gtx1080 I have here
    Thanks in advance.

Hello. Im sorry to not be able to help you but i was just about to post a new question when i saw this thread!

I have a similar card gainward 1080 jetstream - i think these are identical.

Now my problem is that it is missing a couple capacitors around the c memory banks which have to be replaced.

You would not happen to have the tool to measure these? Also i believe these have to be desoldered before measuring.

      Image 1 - 1uf 0402 size

Image 2 - I think is also 1uf 0402 (based on different board, but also 1080)

What does the card do when powered? Fans spin?

If connected to a monitor, does the screen switch on but no picture after 40 secs?

I found the problem it was 9.09k resistor on vinmon open circuit .
With out vinmon it won't start pwm controller.

Its me again with the same card as yours. I still have problems with mine as it shows unknown memory type. I believe the bios is correct and memory shows 0 faults, now i see the straps seems to be tampered with you wouldnt happen to have this at hand to make a few measurements of the back?
You could see in my picture i measured some 33r, 2,2k, 25k and 100k's.

I sold that card I'm afraid.
I have a gamerock which is same pcb.
What memory does your card have ie manufacturer

Hey there, i got not an GTX 1080 but an GTX 1070 from palit and the PCB is as far as i know the same.

I measured the resistors on the picture and all measured numbers are the same like your Measurements... (My Card also shows no Screen xD)

Have you got all voltages present?

Sorry to interfere in this topic but my 1080 Ti is doing so, fans spin, all voltages seems to be present but no pictures. 95% of the time the screen turns on after 30/40sec but stays black and 5% booted properly into Windows.

                        What does that mean ?

I tryed to reflow the A1 memory chip that got errors on mats. No errors after but the card behaves like you describe.
Then after 2 / 3 days the card now gives me full error on each memory chip, even after I desoldered the A1 chip. Also It doesnt turn on the screen after a delay anymore.
