    Re: lenovo e550 not working

    Hello.

    1) The schematic shows the mosfet as PQ43A and PQ43B. When a part has a suffix (ending) with a letter, then it is a SINGLE component but with multiple versions of the same inside.

So for PQ43 = dual mosfet with 2 internal 2N7002 mosfets in a single package.

Let us take another example, 74HC04 = Hex Inverter = 6 inverters inside the single 14 pin IC.

Gate # 1 can be called 'A' gate.

Gate # 2 can be called 'B' gate, etc.

Sometimes they will call the first one '1A' and 2nd gate '2A', etc.

Regardless, it is the single package with multiple parts inside.

    2) This is a very common part with many manufacturers.

Part # 2N7002KDWH (SOT363 package). Be sure the package is SOT363 when shopping around.

    3) Which resistor is heating up ? Is it PR6 = pin 6 of the PQ43 ? That is 750 ohms to +3vALW. This should not be hot to touch.

What is the voltage on pin # 1 of PQ43 ?

    4) Are you using the original power adapter ?
