    Frequency drop 1024Mhz to 350 mhz at 70 degrees - Rx 470 4 go

    Hello to all,

I repaired a RX 470 4Gb from sapphire it was a mosfet HS on the VCORE only 1 and the card works again in games.

Except that at the time of the test FURMARK I have falls of frequencies of approximately to 300mhz then goes up in the 1030 mhz every 5 seconds or more when it turns to 73 degrees approximately.
The image jerks then becomes fluid again and so on as loss of images per second

In games it makes him from time to time falls of FPS
This is not ideal during the game =S

Is it an unstable capacitor on the +VDCC line of the vcore?

    What advice =D

    Thanks a lot to you

Seems strange, have you checked the phase for the drmos you replaced is actually working, ie. with a scope or frequency meter?

Also, why is the core clock not going upto 1260mhz?

Thanks for the answer really, I'm going to go back and check and re-weld correctly despite several checks or get another one.

Honestly I don't know it seems bridled. I took the bios on https://www.techpowerup.com/ which is for a Nitro + RX 470 4gb (The only one possible)

I don't have an oscilloscope yet unfortunately.

The funny thing is that in games I can very well not have a drop in fps at 3 for example during 10 min and sometimes every 15 seconds it is random.

According to GPUZ, VDCC does not seem to be equally stable, sometimes dropping to 0.80 and peaking at 0.90 v few seconds

      Any other ideas? =D

I come back to the news and with good news
I re-welded the IR3553M phase controller because the hot spot climbs in a few seconds 43 degrees on the thermal camera.

Now no loss of FPS on Furmark and the core frequency remains in the 1000 to 1050 mhz.
Why doesn't it go up to its 1260Mhz?
The voltage remains stable at 1 V on VDDC

It works on the 2 internal bios of the card with HDMI and display port.

Thanks to the thermal camera really indispensable tool.

        =D

u have thermocam and not have scope to chceck if phase is working?

hello Only one phase was overheating and since then none. It seems to me that last month I also had a RX470 4gb going to the maximum at 1090 mhz for the Core. So maybe normal
