Hi All,
I have an LG OLED55B8SLC.BEKWLJP which consumes 24W in standby ad infinitum. I've eliminated other causes like WiFi, pixel refresh etc. I'm pretty sure the fault/design flaw is in the PSU because when I disconnect the main and TCON boards, the PSU still consumes 24W.
It would cost me around £30 / $40 a year in electricity for no good reason if I didn't unplug it every evening. Not a great deal of money but if other LG TVs do the same, that's a whole load of unnecessary planet warming.
The service manual unfortunately doesn't contain any schematics just block diagrams and fault flowcharts that conclude with "replace PSU" board. I have done that anyway and there is no improvement.
I would be very grateful if someone has any advice or a schematic (paid or gratis) for the part described as PCB: EAX67858001 or LG P/N: EAY64749001 so that I can do my own investigation.
Thank you very much.
