    "Power Saver" mode

Has anyone had "Power Saver" mode keep their tv from staying on. My friend said it is only supposed to make things dim so they use less energy. But could it keep the tv from staying on, say turn on and display a pic for 5 seconds and then go back off?

    Re: "Power Saver" mode

"Power Saver" or Standby mode is used in the PC monitor or TV to put the TV in standby mode if it does not detect the video signal from the tuner or from external source, some will activate that function is 2 seconds, some can be minutes. It is used to save energy. But if you have signal input but it still go into standby or shutdown, then you do have problem.

I don't have any signals going in. I'll try hooking a playstation or something to it.
