I recently acquired 2 x faulty Pioneer AVRs, a SC-LX56 and SC-LX86. The 56 was UE22 no audio and the 86 was in DC protect flashing the MCACC LED.
I've fixed both these issues and they both work but after a few days use, both exhibit the same fault which can only be cured by a factory reset. They become slow to respond to front panel and remote controls and eventually freeze up altogether.
After a full reset, both work fine again. I've installed the latest firmware from Pioneer with no improvement. I'm starting to think there may be a problem with one or more of the flash memory chips, in particular the 1Gb NAND flash but I can't find any info on this problem.
Anyone encountered this issue before and found a fix?
