T560 has no ec chip password stored in mec chip.

        can unlock 2 ways

1 with dxe driver (you find manual and dxe driver on forum here)
2 read mec chip with svod 3 and clean password area

yes imranromi best way to disable the password in lenovo is to patch the bios and after to generate the hardware id with a key

with svod you can reset password in mec (but risk) best way unlock patch with dxe driver, after unlock use lenovo uuid tool (boot from usb) then edit serial etc etc

(the dxe driver is allready post on this forum, and when you decompiler the patch you dont need a key!)

EC (with MEC) programming methode is very risky and involes soldering several very tiny resistors while soldering to very narrow traces (testpoints if you're lucky). So this is nothing you can do in 5min.

BTW: All this TPM and multiple location stuff that is claimed on some sites is BS.
Password in the secret area (mostly 2kb) is stored on the last "page" in the EC.

svod is not dangerous if you know what you are doing, and if you can do a little soldering you are not at risk, it is true that there is a small piece in mec reserved for certain settings, but with the latest update software (from svod 3) this is not problem! however I always recommend the dxe driver because then you don't have to solder and you don't have to program

Thanks a lot Maxpower. What do you recommend as programmer?
And do you recommend also SOIC8 clips?

Other question : I read on different forums that some Lenovo Thinkpads could be unlocked only by a shortcut between pin5 and 6 of the Eeprom at startup. Could it be possible for me?

                                  Thanks for help

I don't like clips, programming I use tl866 works very well for that
                                    .
Do not bypass pins 5 and 6 of the eeprom !!!! this is reserved for models with 24rf08

                                      Ok thanks.
So you need to unsolder and solder 2 times ?? Seems difficult for me...

And what about ezp2019 as programmer for little budget?
