    HP 15 day11amb6e0 y11a Shutdown Issue

    Good Day,
    Model : HP 15-p004nx
    Boardcode : day11amb6e0

    Issue :

When plug in, fan spins for a seconds then off,
When power on current responds up to 0.12A then back to 0A but no fan spin.
Checking the voltages, VCORE is missing checking enable signal, VRON also missing and already tried to flash bios and replace the SIO but same issue.
Another signal is also missing HWPG, i tried to look for the cause, I already tried cutting the lines coming from powergood signals of 1.05V , 1.35v ram supply and 5v supply ic but nothing change

The fault must be earlier in the sequence. Find Out what exactly is Missing should give the clue. Of course, Schematics will Help a lot Here.
And it Would be also a good start to Check whether PGood is released at Supplys with Expected Voltage present.
A few days ago i Had a Board Here, some technicians already Messed with it. 1.05V PGood Not released and additionally the EC was somehow "stuck" after fixing the PGood. A bit of "stabbing" the the EC and corresponding components of Missing PM_SLP_S3# solved the issue. Board works stable since then.

And this is Not the First Time i fixed Something while "stabbing" around the EC and the VRM. Happened already a few Times to me.

I have already checked all the supply connected to the Pgood signal and All of them released the voltage output before it shutdown but PGOOD signal is missing. Can you help me trace the THermal IC? I will try to remove and put back it to reset

You're talking about U16? Probably not present because a optional component.

Which PGood exactly is missing? H_PROCHOT# low or high?

Dell G3 17 3779 Weird power cycling and shutdown/restart issue
              by SuperJames
This one's a weird one, and still unsolved despite it having gone back to Dell once.

              Specs

i7-8750H, GTX 1060 Max Q, 500GB SSD & Seagate 7mm 1TB HDD. 17.3 IPS screen. This has the fingerprint reader in the power button.

              Backstory

I bought this from eBay, from a wallpapering shop. £650 in 2020 which was a good price considering it's a gaming laptop. Physically it's in perfect shape, apart from the hinge mounts on the palmrest failing in the time I've had it (I have a new palmrest for it). The usual thin plastic crap modern build quality!...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
              by rounin
              Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

              🛠 Original Issue
              The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
              by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Gaming Laptop Zephyrus S17 TFT not detected every time !
              by titomno2
              Hi guys,
I post my problem here because I think it could be a capacitor related issue (Asus support on this particular subject is non-existing).
So the computer is a Zephyrus-S17-GX735LXS-26T and the strange behavior is seen.
On cold start most of the time the internal screen is detected and a picture it works fine until shutdown, sleep or deep sleep.
Then the screen won't work for a long period of time.
If I wait 1 or 2 hours it work again most of the time.
When it doesn't work the batterie indicator blink 3 times white stop and the same schematic is repeated...
