![]() Hi, working on this Hp EliteBook 840 MB 6050A2560201-MB-A02. The problem with it is that the Power white LED turns on for a while & then turns off by itself. The amps during this 4 sec process is just 0.06 & then back to 0 but battery charges very well taking around 2.7amp in the start. I re-programmed the BIOS chip which I got from this board's string on BADCAPs but no difference. 3.3v & 5v are perfect. No short to ground at all on any rails. Can someone help me diagnosing this fault further. Thanks in advance.
ADP_EN 3,38 LID_SW# 3,29 ADP_DET 3,3 RSMRST# 3,3 KBC_PWR_ON_R 3,3 this are the values in EC U300 |

![]() Check for damaged / shorted mosfets on page # 5 of the posted schematic.
1) With the adapter connected & battery removed, what is the voltage reading: @ Q6009 - pin 3 ? Q6010 - Source (pin 1-2-3) ? Q6010 - Drain (pin 8-7-6-5) ? Q6011 - Drain (pin 8-7-6-5) ? 2) Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode. Check & post the resistance for the following: Q6010 Source & Drain Source & GATE GATE & Drain Repeat the measurements for: Q6011, Q6000, Q6001 On the topic of resistance measurements, be sure to review the following excellent webpage - see resistance chart: http://electronicsbeliever.com/how-t...-is-defective/ |

![]() These readings do not look correct:
Q6010 Q6011 D 19 D 19 G 6 G 19 S 19 S 25 Can you double check the values and post them again? The drain voltage of Q6010 should be the same at source of Q6011. Also interested in the voltages on Q6012, Q6000, Q6001. Then remove all power and share the resistance of each mosfet. Source & Drain Source & gate Gate & Drain |
