good morning, Sony dont like to make life easy,why feed backlights via 2 or 4 wires when you can use 60!
yes there are 4 foils feeding 4 separate b/l edge strips via lcd drive board (the blue one in corner)
first ,after usual checks ,i unplugged cn02 at top of t con board
to stop the 4 blinks ,this allows main board to start and led remains green and sound comes up ,
next i fitted link to led-on from 3.3v sby ,removed lead from plug from main board just in case and tried again ,still no b/l .
while tv is still on i replugged cn02 and pic info is visible with test lamp ,
ie still no b/l but pic and sound info good .
so i think the tcon can be ruled out ?
the psu with the forced led on link produces 24v for b/l and all other supplies good .
now over to led drive board
there are 4 fuses all good
all diodes and fets test good
all caps good esr
theres a 3.3v supply and a 9v supply both good .
next i opened up and checked all 4 led strips both with led tester and with d/m od diode test mode both directions to check reverse zener
all tested good .
ive read a couple of posts on here with similar models,but not quite same volts from psu
i think my psu is good as it produces all correct volts when forced on with 3.3v
ive now reached the head scratching stage ,any ideas please
