    Vtech Phone repair CS6238-4 cordless phone

    Hello,

    I am having an issue with a VTECH CS6238-4 cordless phone. The In Use LED is constantly blinking.

    I received this through a garage sale. The wireless phones are all dead and need charged. But, I am unable to do anything since the In Use led is blinking. The phones "charge" then turn on and says that the phone is unable to detect the base station because it has no power or is in use. The phones then turn off. This cycle repeats.

    I was wondering if anyone has had an issue like this before and if anyone knows of a solution? Thank you.

      I found this for a different model It might work on this one?

      To manually deregister each handset:

      Step 1: Press MENU/SELECT. Display reads: Directory;

      Scroll to "SETTINGS" on the 6419 model

      Step 2: Enter *7890#. Display reads:
      “>Test Base”
      “Test Handset”
      Step 3: Scroll to “>Test Handset”, then press MENU/SELECT. Display reads: “>SW Version”.
      Step 4: Scroll to “>Next Page…”, then press MENU/SELECT.
      Step 5: Display reads: “LCD TEST” on top line. Scroll to “>Register Clear”, then press MENU/SELECT.
      Step 6: Display reads: “Reg Clear?”, then press MENU/SELECT. Press and hold OFF until “Out of range OR No pwr at base” is displayed.
      Step 7: Unplug the battery; wait a few seconds, then reconnect.
      Step 8: The registration instructions will appear on the display
