dead compaq psu help

ok I need a little help I am trying to get a psu out of a old p2 Compaq deskpro working it is branded Compaq if that helps it is 110w the problem I am having is that even with a psu tested the fan pulses for 1/2sec and that is it all the caps look perfect. so if anyone can tell me what I should check next would be great.
