Hi
First thing you can't just use a donor bios it's dirty meaning me region once a computer boots it married to that computer the only way to use a donor is to either to rebuild it using Intel fit tool for that chipset or to merge the original file top half to either a donor or update bottom half so if it's 8mb cut the top half at 4mb and merge the other 4mb of bottom i have done it many times to remove password you need to replace both files bios &EC bin the only other way is to have the soft ware using service tag to gen master password 1d3b,1f5a, 1f66 6ff1, also the bios disk works if able to find your version on eBay hope this info helps

I got the same problem with my Dell E6410 after I tried updating the bios and laptop shuts down before it could finish my laptop is no longer showing anything on screen. laptop attempts to turn on with the power light lit and with black screen only
You either killed the Bio chip or firmware is total corrupted try a different donor firmware just to get it to start again after that upload it here and i will put a clean me region on it then we will need the other chip on board and also replace firmware kbc .
external monitor showing anything ? caps lights come on when you a temp to power laptop up. do you have RSMRST3.3V & S5 3.3v at KBC?

I've got a Dell Latitude E6410 (Intel video) with BIOS A15 and a [SERVICETAG]-1F5A message with the bios admin lock. USB booting is turned off (not even available under F12 boot), so I'm guessing I'll have to burn a CD/DVD of Hiren's to get it downgraded to version A14, since when I try to run E6410A14 /forceit command in Windows, it asks me for the bios (not Windows) admin password. I've tried bios versions back to A09 and they all give me the same result. I also noticed that there are a couple of peeps on eBay who claim to be able to give a master unlock code for the 1F5A lock for my E6410. Any additional thoughts or info would be appreciated.
Hi first yes there is a hash tool for the 15FA and very few people have it and it works . I have it for older models also there are bio disks sold on eBay that let you clear password and edit service tags when you do a system change to match the unit the only other way to clear it is to replace both bio's file and ec bin at the same time and only way this is done is with donor files so what this means is you would need to either merge your original me region into the donor file for the bio's only or rebuild a new me region using a clean never used one and rebuild it to match you laptop specs like i5 and chipset used and so on all doable . Hope this give you your answer .
