I have a toshiba c660D with LA-6849P motherboard. When I plugged it on power the green light that has power lights but when I press the power button nothing happens. I checked the power mosfets they have 19V. I checked the chipset PU330(page 30) which has 3 & 5 volt pin 16 VIN 19V pin 8 VREG3 3,3V pin 17 VREG5 5,08V so I have voltage there. Can someone tell me how to continue. PS I couldnt test the power button. What should I short to test if it power on without the button? |

![]() Check PQ331 and PQ332 for short. They were getting really hot on mine. On another one I had the KBC controller was shorted.

![]() Check PBTN_OUT# on pin 117 of KB926QFE0 on page 23. you should have 3v there if not first flash the bios with programmer and see what happens. If still nothing change KB926QFE0 with the new one.
P.S. First things first of course check the button itself and be sure it is ok. Sometimes just the button itself can be faulty even it looks like ok Last edited by ahmetozay; 09-24-2014 at 06:16 AM.. |

![]() It's a little difficult to measure it.
I attached 2 pictures to see how is the button. There are no pins. How should I measure it? Should I put -probe to ground and +ground to the first pin to see if the voltage goes to 0V? |

I tried short pin 1 with 4 ( ON/OFFBTN# with GND) but still nothing. |

there are some ways to flash spi roms. google may help you on this. |

![]() Can you tell me which chip is EC. I think it is U22 but if this is EC how can I check it , there are no visible pins.

![]() EC has pins. A lot of them. It's the ENE chip next to the RAM slots.

If it is switching on , then you have problem with E-350 UMA VGA. You have to reball APU |
