The inventor of the notebook computer is leaving the market?

    http://resources.made-in-china.com/a...h-in-February/

As far as I know, Toshiba invented the notebook computer in the 80s, and (in my theory) a pinnacle of Japanese miniaturization in its time - it would be sad for Toshiba (as the inventor) to leave this market, just like IBM (the inventor of the hard disk drive) selling off the Hard Disk Drive operations to Hitachi (HGST).
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

The Toshiba T1100 was released in 85

The Compaq portable released around 82 was the first Dos based portable to my knowledge
but you could not call it a laptop
it was more of a suit case with a end that opened up
