![]() Hi guys,
I have a JVC LT-40C860 stuck on logo. I have tried all sorts of resets but nothing seems to help. I have checked the fuses on the main board and power supply and capacitors everything seems ok. From what i was reading on the forum I tend to believe it's a firmware problem. Now the question, is anyone who can give me the firmware so that i can put it on a usb drive and see if it solves my problem ? Tried contacting JVC but i got no reply. I've attached some pictures with the boards in case anyone wants any extra info. Thank you, |

![]() Is U13 an MX25L512 EEPROM or equivalent. If so I would freeze it with freezer spray and make cerain it gets really cold (set powered off) and then attempt to reboot the TV. You may have a failing EEPROM

![]() Try freezing it again and allow the EEPROM to get really cold. Give it several good blasts. Very often the inside of the IC hasn't become cold enough.

![]() I saved a tv like that. I desoldered the chip off the board and fit it in my eprom reader. Then i sprayed it ice cold and started the read process. During the read i sprayed it again. I got a data image. Saved it, and dumped it into a new blank chip and viola. It worked , tv went out back to customer, fixed.

![]() Unfortunately the freezing didn't work for me and i don't think it's worth me buying a eeprom reader. I was looking for a firmware to use with an USB drive but no one seems to have one . I'm thinking on getting another main board.

![]() The EEPROM reader/writer is dead cheap and worth having in your tool box.

![]() Hi guys,
I have ordered an eeprom reader/writer but i couldnt get a working driver to be able to access the info on the eeprom so I bought a replacement main board and got it in. Tv is working perfect now. If any of you has a reliable software for win10 that i can use with the eeprom reader/writer please share'it with me ! Regards, |
