HP 14 DA0U8AMB6A0 short in 1.05v anything hot

    I have this motherboard DA0U8AMB6A0.

It has PU14 (+1.0VS5) burned, I replaced it and now when I press the power button it turn on and turn off in half a second.

I checked and found it has a short in +1.05V line

PL23 has 1.7 ohms to ground and I inyected 1v and it use 3A or more but anything is hot, only a little the processor but very little.

    The processor is dead?

    Please help

Sorry, I forgot to tell it, I have all voltages on that instant including VCCore

Remove PJP6 (unsolder and make sure contact are properly clean) and measure resistance again on point 1 and 2. If resistance to ground on point 1 is low resistance, remove PU13 and measure again.

Sorry, the mother hasn't pads, they are only marked in the schematic.

I remove PL23 and it has 123 ohms on PU13 side and 1.6 ohms on PJP6 side, then, the short is PCH or processor, I guess.

Inject 1V in PJP6 side and see what gets hot. If the PCH die gets hot, its most likely shorted.

Check if resistance of PR240 and PR241 read ok also.

I already inyected 1v in PL23 PJP6 side , but nothing is hot, only the processor a litle.

Values are correct but I had to remove them to check.

Can you increase the current? I see from post #1 you used 1V @3A. Can you try 1V @5A?

I haven't psu, have built a regulated power supply but it can't deliver more than 3A. I'm going to find another option to try with 5A but I guess 3A is a high current and I should to note something hot.

That is the first one I thought but I wanted to listen the experts opinion because the processor isn't so hot only a bit.

Unfortunately I don't have maner to change it so I'm going to find a new mobo.

                    Thank you for your response
