Just posting this here for reference. I had several of those.
These laptops use a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphic card.
There are ceramic capacitors very closely mounted to a hole used to fix the board with a screw. The screw causes a deflection of the board and can also cause the ceramic capacitor(s) to crack and short. They are then shorting the power supply, you will hear some noise when it tries to start.
Will cost you a $1 or $2 instead of a new graphic card.
Cracked SMD ceramics (the brownish ones) will often show a visible discoloration.
