    Asus k54 wont charge when system is running

    Hello .
    Have weird problem with Asus K54 that charge only when system is not runing. when charging and start system, it charge . when i remove charger and reatach it with system runing. no power is drow, but when system shut down it start charging right away. without battery it drow 0 W

    Known good battery? Tried another AC adapter of correct power rating?
    Check resistance between ACN/ACP and SRN/SRP of charger IC (or whatever the pins for AC and battery current sensing are called on this platform) to confirm current sensing circuit isn't burnt.

      Im using PSU as charger. dont change battery, but battery hold about 2hours without charger. battery is charging normally by 25W and goes down as charged

        Try with 90W AC adapter.

          as i know asus dont have any sort of wattage check like hp or lenovo

            u have right. i attached 65W charger and it charging

            but how can it be? charger have just two wires?

              The lab PSU may not be able to deliver enough current, or there's too much voltage drop over the wires and connectors.

                i have DPS3005 on 24V 90W laptop charger

                never have better budget PSU and never have problem with it. i used 20V and 19V 5A on that laptop and not worked as this original. there must be something extra on that original charger
