elitebook x360 1040 g8 Unlock this bios please.

Hi this is one of the new elitebooks that there is. First I bought a couple on facebook and they all came with a bios lock. I paid a service to unlock one of them and it work fine, then I tried to put the same bios on another elitebook and it triggered an error with the hp endpoint security controller, so now I have to press scape everytime it boots. So I'm guessing that each bios is linked to the controller and I cannot use the bios of another one to fix the other laptops.

Can you guys take a look a this bios

post a dump of UC3 - main bios - and I can help you, I just got an 1040 G8 and I was able to unlock it.

try. it will enter in MPM mode, press F10 and you have a tab under "Main" named " set machine unique data" and you'll find all data on stickers of back of the bottom cover. to exit MPM mode use BCU 4.0 under windows or restart laptop how many times counter shows.

Learn how to use a hex editor, compare the bios at posts 6 and 7 ,then you can do it yourself. Maybe when you do learn to hex edit you can help others with their bios problems and contribute something back to the forum.

Program this chip only, leave the other as is. At first boot enter the bios and reset bios settings to factory default, then reset security settings, then apply (save), restart and you're good to go.
