      So is the line about sharing bandwidth true?? The DSL crowd keeps saying that you can get really bogged down as more and more people in your area get online. Ok....how big is an area and how much does it get bogged down?? Going from 5Mbps to 2Mbps is not "bogged down" in my opinion. 2Mbps is still fast as hell!

            I like that DSL is dedicated to only your connection, but depending on the DSLAM or the ATM you share cards with your neighbours at the CO, not bad if the CO has the capacity.

            Cable is fast but can be limited if everyone in the neighbourhood is on the same system as you.

            Right now I have Paradyne reach DSL, it's an older proprietary system that works well for rural subscribers. You give up speed for the extra distance. It's either 320/320 DSL or dialup here....DSL!
