    Can i combined 6.3v 1200uf with a 6.3v 1000uf to get 6.3v 2200uf

    Yes in parallel. (-) to (-), (+) to (+).

    Same brand and series.

      what is the application?
      general purpose yes.
      cpu vrm or power supply no.the esr will be different.

        Make sure that both units are the same manufacturer, series, capacitance, voltage and size. Two 1200uF units will equal 2400uF, which is slightly better.
        My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

          then again, it can be higher than esr of original cap, depending on the quality/mfr of original and of these 2 replacements...

          but 2 good quality caps will bring esr down in comparison to just one of same series...

            yes but the lowest esr cap will be subjected to excessive ripple current.this may shorten its life.
