Just a random ripoff of some Enhance design...

First thing I thought was Andyson but I don't think it's them. It's some other random back alley fab...

          Good deal indeed.
But beware of that 5VSB circuit - it's a 2-transistor design. Make sure the output caps and critical cap on the 5VSB circuit get replaced with high quality ones as well. Once that is done, it should be quite reliable.

I figured out the OEM to these 8688F PSU's. They're made by GUANGZHOU SANYANG http://en.pangupower.net/

I see at least one pi filter. Look at it this way - for $15.99 (on sale), it could have been WAY worse. But yeah, no way it would be worth $30 (regular price).

It actually doesn't look that bad... it's not a 450w psu obviously, but if you look at actual chart it may do what it says (12v @ 12a and everything else, looks like 250-300w psu ratings).

Other than small transformers, it has proper bridge rectifier, some common chokes on input, Y capacitors, an actual 5vsb dc-dc converter, inductors on some outputs and the fan seems to be properly placed to move air through the unit.

Looks like a decent power supply to repair or restore old computers with.

But it's still a Leadman. That transformer doesn't look good for much. I can't tell, is that flyback?

It's STF topology in all likelihood. It has only one cap with no PI filters on at least some of the rails. The ripple could well be out of spec even with no load.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

I've seen a PSU with those exact heatsinks and layout before. But it was rated 250 Watt. What a joke!

I hope that warning sticker over the power socket says "Caution: do not actually use this piece of junk"

With those wimpy heatsinks? 200W, maybe 250W if the fan is powerful enough to make it hover.

Maybe 200w, I had a cit like this usal 13007's all 10a output diodes but that one actually had pi coils and 2 caps per rail but was still junk.

Never trust a Leadman, even if it looks well-built. They somehow always end up f-ing up their designs. Really ought to go back and start branding their PSUs PowMax again, because that name really stands up for itself
