![]() Hi,
my Lenovo Z50-70 NM-273 with Intel i5 and Nvidia N15 discrete graphics work only on battery. And even on battery it is not predictable how long it will last before crashing. Sometimes work for whole hour, sometimes 5 minutes, regardless of what I'm doing. Same is happening no matter what windows is installed. Curretntly it is on Win 7 64bit, all drivers are installed without any problem - chipset, both graphics etc. Laptop does not overheating, it's clean and with new thermal paste. Furmark works just fine and temperature does not exceed 65 degrees. Everything seems OK and, for no reason, laptop crash and stays off. Without restarting. Every time. No BSOD, no any error message. Other problem is that when power adapter is plugged, it crashes instanly. I can power it again with power adapter, but it crashes in shorter intelval every time. For example, it works on power for 5 minutes an crashes, than next time works for 3 minutes etc. At last, it can not even start. When laptop is off, baterry charging works fine. Does anyone have experince with that specific problem? I have schematics but no boardview. Last edited by kronikus; 12-20-2018 at 10:19 AM.. |

![]() It passed all graphic tests, works steady 30+ minutes on Furmark. Official drivers for Intel and Nvidia gpu are installed without any problems. Passed dxdiag. Passed Lenovo diagnostic on all components. Maybe the most important fact is that laptop crashes instantly when charger is plugged in? Every time. Even without hard disk. Can that be related to graphics?

![]() On battery, turned off:
Drain/Source/Gate PQ302 15.2/14.8/14.5 PQ303 15.2/.15.2/0 PR306 0(VIN side)/0(diode side) On battery, turned on: Drain/Source/Gate PQ302 15.3/14.9/14.6 PQ303 15.2/15.2/0 PR306 0(VIN side)/0(diode side) On charger with battery, turned off: Drain/Source/Gate PQ302 20/20/5 PQ303 16/20/20 PR306 20(VIN side)/0 (diode side) On charger and battery, when turned on and than removed battery, PQ303 Drain stay 16.8V untill turned off. Than drops to 0.8V and stay 0.8V unill battery reconected, when jumps to 16.8. Again, when battery was removed during work, Drain stay at 16.8V untill turning off by power button or crashing. ![]() On both side of PR316 voltages are same as on the Drain of PQ303.
Voltage drop across some coils: PL303 8.2mV; PL304 9.9mV; PL307 1.7mV; PL701 5.9mV; PL9 6.9mV. |

![]() Yes, It is power loss. Laptop suddenly turns off and stay off.
