    Technics SL-3 Turntable

Hello all I have a turntable (technics brand model Sl-3,I'm in the process of changing its drive belt.
That issue I can deal with pretty straight forward,I've noticed without the belt in place currently spinning the deck it has a sound of ‘catching' under the turntable plate.
I can't see no visible broken or parts misplaced, just when spinning free hand you can hear it
    Any ideas ?

May be you can coat the inside surfaces of the platter with a felt pen (which is easily cleaned) and spin it. If anything is catching, it will leave a mark and you can trace it back.

Remove the platter and check the spindle bearing, if it spins without the noise, check where the platter turns and make sure there is nothing that can touch the platter
