PlayStation 4 Slim power supply ADP-160CR

    Hi!

I have a power supply that will not power on the Playstation 4 but everything I've checked seems to be OK. I'm hoping someone can help!

    I've checked
    Fuse - F1
    Resistor - R1
    Bridge Amplifier - BD1

I get 12V and 5V when testing with a multimeter.
I do not see any damaged caps or other components.

    What should I check next?

    Thanks

Maybe there is something wrong with the PS4 and not the power supply. Did you try to power up your PS4 with a known working power supply?

Pictures like those are like power supply "porn".

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

Have you tried to switch the power supply on?you must short some pins on the little connector to switch on 12V on output terminal.
Sample video is here,i dont know if is this the right type of PS,is not everytime the same pin combination.

So,with another power supply is PS4 working and yours power supply is working too (switching 12V output)? Is standby light present with this bad power supply? Try to meassure it connected to PS4 if you have the same voltages, specialy 5V on standby somewhere on the 4pin connector.

I tested for 5V but it was not connected to the PS4 during the test. I will do this tomorrow and share the result.

I would measure Q6. I think it is a FET so measure outer 2 legs in diode/beep mode. Beep is usually bad.
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!
