2) I couldn't exactly understand how the XORing part was perfomed in this example: https://gist.github.com/en4rab/55088...f3039e3c8ab6fd.

The author XORed the 1st hexstring by an other, and resulted the final useful output. Where did he got the 2nd hexstring from?

PS: I finally understood! I wasn't certain on what the 'xor-key' actually was, so explaining for others who might search for help here:

1. I dumped this according to instructions:

0993C32670BA2D4DA3E04D741107BE9A5C2EC6C18C5436E8FD7B890E21A2D53579C9525CF5EF2B83

2. And Ran against this key from GitHub on this XOR calculator ~http://xor.pw~:

5b93b62611ba6c4dc7e022747d07d89a332e8ec1e95444e89f7bfa0e55a2b0350bc9665cc1ef1c83

3. Resulting in a ASCII 'hexchar'+00h:

Hi I received a Surface 3 from a friend and I wanted to dual boot it with Android but the UEFI BIOS settings where password protected. He gave me all the passwords he would have used to no avail. I was hoping you could do what you do so well and help me with the password, if it helps he says he may have used @ instead of the letter "a", like Retin@ or Dint@d@ly. I included the bin file I got from using the TXE2 programming tool. Thanks.

I do get the same password.
The password is case-sensitive, are you typing the first character as an UPPERCASE "V"? Last character is Number One "1".
