These two repairs where found with a ESR meter...> Temp at 50*F then at 90*F the ESR reading more than 10%
1 Over Head Crane Current Sensing Board ( VFD Failure Five Years Later )
2 Hem Saw Computer Stack Board
All of these had CAPs POOF
All of the mosfet that are taken out by bad caps

that charger requires a holder . or add a socket to my one but i suppose a holder is cheaper

get a decent charger - they arent too expensive.
i will let one of the people i work for buy me a nice one along with a bench power supply and battery spot welder . plus anything else needed for rebuilding battery packs properly .

i thought of buying a holder and module then using a usb charger i already have . costs less than £4 to get my torch batteries charging for now . then go for something big and fancy with digital readouts later on for sorting cells for rebuilding/repairing 80v packs .
i am sure i have plenty of components here to build a 4.2v charger circuit with led lights included but cant really be bothered . modules can be had for about £1.50 . it would possibly cost more using parts from my stock .Last edited by petehall347; 05-15-2022, 01:11 PM.
