Newark doesn't seem to have anything

People say Newark carries the UCC KZE.

I just spent a lot of time on their website and they do carry a few KZE's but the selection is non-existant. No 1000, 1200, 1500, 2200uF. In fact the largest uF was 470.

Newark also carries the Chemicon LXZ series. Try those as they are also good low ESR caps.
      The great capacitor showdown!

Re: Newark doesn't seem to have anything

I'm in Jeannette, PA near Pittsburgh.

Using their search engine with all the settable columns I get no 1500uF 6.3V radial lead of any kind.

I thought it might be my browser, Firefox, w/ or w/o cookies, so I tried IE6 and still NOTHING.

According to their own table they only stock 6 different types of caps @ 1500uF.

That sounds totally weak. (and only 133 different 6.3v caps)

they do not cross reference to low esr caps and anyway waste of money to recap with cheap caps.

I had to get Nichicon PW in 1500 6.3v 8mm from Mouser. They carry wide selection of Nichicon. The rest I got were HE series. Pretty cheap also. 8mm 1000uf HEs $.18 a piece(15) 2 1500 PWs were like $.40. 7 4700uf 10v 12.5mm were $1.18 a piece though!!!!!!!!! Easy web site and quick process.

Digi-Key also carries United Chemicon now.

Digikey offers a very wide range of Panasonic Low ESR caps. The FC and FM series are appropriate.

Go through this Catalog and locate the Digikey part No. and check for stock with a components search.

                    http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/T053/0953-0969.pdf

                    e.g FC series 2200u 10V = Part P10230-ND at 90C ea. Single price

the NEW and superior FM series 2200u 10V = Part P12357-ND at 76c each.

This should be very helpful to many of you.

Denon AVR-X4000 – Fast red blinking after 2nd relay
                      by SevenOFF
                      Hi everyone,

I’m working on a Denon AVR-X4000 that goes into protection mode (fast red blinking LED) shortly after the second relay click.

According to the service manual, a fast red blinking LED indicates a DC detection (DC_DET) or ASO (abnormal current) fault, meaning the unit is detecting a potentially dangerous condition on the power amp or power supply side.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:
                      • Fully opened and cleaned the unit (a lot of dust inside)
                      • Removed and visually inspected the AMP board → nothing visibly damaged or burned
                      • Testing is done with

Upgrading Whole Home Surge Protector MOVs (Eaton CHSPT2SURGE)
                      by nobbnobb1
I have a whole home surge protector (Eaton CHSPT2SURGE). This is the lower end model as compared to the CHSPT2ULTRA. When I took it apart, I noticed it's basically the same PCB as the higher end model, just missing the extra MOVs for higher capacity. Coincidentally, I have a pack of brand new Bourns 20D241K MOVs laying around:
                      https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/d...0D241K/2799098

The only thing I noticed is that these Bourns MOVs are not thermally protected with a fuse. I'm wondering if it's safe to just simply install these extra MOVs for extra capacity,...

Why put two fuses of the same rating in series? Or am I mistaken?
                      by gregory112
                      Hello,

This Razer Blade 15 2022 motherboard does not have a schematic. Razer also does not give any schematics or boardviews. Around the GPU VRM circuits I found these two fuses rated for 1.5A (from the letter K).

From the PCB trace I can see that the two are connected. These two are not connected directly to ground. I believe therefore they are placed in series. I wonder why is this? Also judging from the size of the PCB trace, this carries 19V power.

                      Thank you in advance...

                      Asus ROG G513QC liquid damage
                      by csberti03
                      Hi!

I have an Asus ROG with some liquid.
I already replaced most of the damaged components.
But there are some resistors that have OL resistance but i don't have the exact value to replace them.

In boardview it carries a signal called VRAM_DGPU_TON.
                      First is 2.2 Ohm 5% (R67218)
                      Second is 499K Ohm 1% (R67217)

also R6016 Measures 210k instead of the 130k in boardview.
                      It's part of AC_SHORT_DETECTION circuit.
                      Should I replace that?

                      I have 1 ohm, 3.3 ohm, 100k, 470K resistors.

Is it OK to use those...

iPad Air A1475 Boot loops after replacing battery
                      by trepachka
This iPad was working fine except the battery was not holding charge for more than 40 minutes. I replaced it with a new battery. I haven't glued the battery yet, just inserted it into the slot and held it with battery screw.

The iPad was powered on with the new battery and I am getting white screen with Apple logo for about 10 seconds, then the screen turns dark. It then cycles like this forever.

I know the battery is working because the iPad continues to boot loop without the charger until it depletes to 0% and the message displays I need to plug in the charger.
