![]() I have a cheap 32 inch tv that has trouble turning on. It takes 3 or 4 trys to turn it on in the morning.
I removed the back cover and discover 3 bulging capacitors. There are 2 purple capacitors labled as 680uf 35v with a number CD286C on them, and one green capacitor labeled 1000uf 25 v and a number CD286 on it. Both have a logo that says YST and F6 printed on them. I measured them and the 680uf 35v was 12.5mm Diameter and 22mm tall, and the 1000uf 25v was 10mm Diamter and 20mm tall. I looked for replacements and found these on digikey.com. http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...2417-ND/613778 http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...1305-ND/589046 Will these work? Here is a pic. If you notice as you are selecting a cap, they have life ratings. So, every cap in your entire system is the exact same age and they could go in a day, a week, or a year later. Better to be safe than sorry. I have realized how dang cheap good caps are, I'm surprised companies actually use inferior quality caps. Is it so that we buy a new TV or AV receiver every couple of years? |

![]() So i need two of these.
http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...514-ND/2504783 And one of these right? http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...?enterprise=44 So it shouldnt matter if they are not the exact same size (diameter and height) as long as they aren't bigger than the old ones? Also I wrote down all of the capacitors on what i assume is the power supply here they are ( the measurements are as close as i could get them ) 2 - 680uf 35v ( above ) 4- 1000uf 25v ( above ) 2 - 470uf 35v 10 mm dia x 17 mm height 2 - 470uf 25v 7 mm dia x 15 mm height 1 - 47uf 50v 6 mm dia x 10 mm height 1 - 22uf 35v 5 mm dia x 11 mm height 1 - 4.7uf 50v 5 mm dia x 10 mm height 1 - ( label was on other side and couldnt see) 16mm dia x 30 mm height I also wrote down the ones on the other board ( I assume the audio ) Here are some pics 1.JPG SAM_0525.JPG |

![]() Here is the link to the spec of the PANASONIC Caps, just get the size and value you need then type in the PANASONIC part numbers into the search box of Digikey.

![]() Ok I have been looking at the datasheet and I think I have it figured out.
A question I have though is what does a Y or L at the end of the part number mean. Example, what is the difference beside size and endurance. EEUFR1E471Y EEUFR1E471L EEUFR1E471 Stj said not to get a L version, but the endurance hours are higher on the L and Y. Should I just stick with EEUFR1E471 even though it has the lowest endurance hours? |

![]() The one without letters is the default model, which is 10 x 12.5 mm.
L is 8x20 mm , Y is 8x15 mm ... so the L version is taller. Taller means more resilient to temperature, hence the higher temperature rating. You have the datasheet here: http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1855691.pdf My advice, pick any version you want, whatever is most convenient and suitable. With the lifetime rating these have, you'll replace whatever you fix before these capacitors will fail. |
