Hello, I have a question concerning tinning a solder iron tip (T15-BC3 bevel). Is it ok just to tin the bevel area, or the entire 3mm end. It requires a lot more solder to cover the whole tip. Hope i explained this well. Thanks
You should tin all portions you plan to touch the tip to the things you want to solder. Everywhere else is not absolutely necessary though it makes the tip stay nice and shiny and ready in case you want to use other portions of the tip to solder something...
