I also just added a Samsung 204B 20.1" LCD. It is replacing a 19" CRT. Its 1600x1200 native. That means this old Radeon 70something hundred is stressed out. I'm getting some vertical areas that are fuzzy. Thats ok...this one is going to mum and dad shortly. All the other video cards are doing good. Especially the newest two.

I'm done now until they come out with a motherboard that handles two P4 dual core processors.

Check out the MSI 975X running a Quad-core Kentsfield (2 x Conroe in a MCM package) at Xtremesystems:

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/....php?p=1527913

The P4/Netburst story is over, officially. Actually, the Fat Lady has started singing for Socket-939 and AM2 as well - they had better pull out a quad-core pronto to stay in the game.

Update season!

The Sapphire x1600Pro is here, with all Panasonic caps. (I'll write down the series on those and the caps on my mainboard when I open it up again.) I'll likely replace the cooler, OC it a few %, and leave it alone from there.

The whole thing's now in a Gateway full tower, at a flamin' 50 C. I'll worry about that, well, soon.

Default Re: Post your system.......

oh yeah. There has also been updates:

system 1-Amiga 500 with 1 mb ram and some good software. Used as serial terminal

system 2-Epson equity II with 2 mb ram, 40 mb hard drive and killer green phosphur screen. A great dos system with a sound blaster card!

system 3-Dell dimension 4100 running ubuntu 6.06 LTS and hold ing 256 mb ram and a 10 gig drive. Nothing special

system 4-Compaq armada 1700. I finally reveved the beast and got it running with a 5 gig drive and 128 mb ram.

system 5-Powermac 8600/300 with only 64 mb ram and a 3DFX voodoo II accelerator. It really needs work

system 6-A custom system with (this one deserves specs):
-1 odd gig of ram
-zip 100 ide drive
-3 1/2" 5 1/4" combo drive
-standard DVD drive using spdif audio
-18 in 1 card reader
-Creative sound blaster Live! with live drive
-primary 130 gig hard drive and secondary 20 gig hard drive
-external DVD rewriter
-Thrustmaster F-16 TQS and F-22 Pro controllers (also doubles as mouse)
-Calcomp graphing tablet with wireless stylus.
-256 mb radeon 9600 for monitor 1
-64 mb radeon ??? for monitor 2
-Usb/firewire combo card
-standard kingston 10/100 network card
-MSI motherboard (don't know full specs, in mail)
-strange 300 watt PSU which will be tossed soon.

system 7-Silicon Graphics Personal Iris 4D/20 with maxed 64 mb ram, R3000 MIPS cpu and a mysteroius OS (the drive is still bad)

system 8-A custom modular server using dual pentium pro, 256 mb ram, 4 10 gig scsi drives(network shared), 5 gig scsi (system boot running win 2000 server), tape drives of various brands and a cheap IBM scsi cd drive for boot (mobo lacks IDE!)

That should be enough.

*QPC Perfitouch Wireless desktop combo.
*Creative SBS-370 2.1CH speakers.

oops....

I forgot to add my Dell laptop into the last list, my apologies.

I'll continue with "the laptop"

*Dell Inspiron 6400 ( i bought it in the USA so E1505 instead)
*Intel (R) Core Solo T1300, 1.66Ghz
*1GB DDR2 533MHz Dual channel.... made by Hynix apparently.
*15.4" widescreen LCD (not truelife)
* 60GB SATA 5400RPM HDD.... Made by Fujitsu actually.
* NEC DVD writer.
*Intel (R) Graphics Media Accelerator 950
*It runs on an Intel 945GM Chipset (not sure on the GM part but very sure it's a mobile 945 chipset)

Theres also another system which i found in the ATX case boxing.

It's a HP Pavillion 6305.... Very old actually and with a dead PSU.

*AMD K6 266MHz
*128MB PC100 SDRAM
*32X LG CD Drive.
*1.44" FD Drive
*S3 Trio 3D 4MB PCI graphics card.
*The motherboard has a SiS chipset.... not sure what model.... but it's a single chip.... so no southbridge.

I also have an IBM Netvista 8309-16A with an Intel P4 1.8Ghz CPU.... it isnt being used and isnt really important since i'm trying to sell that at the moment.

I'm starting to notice that i'm an Intel fan.... since nearly all my PCs are Intel powered. lol.

Oh yeah...I didn't even have the other two machines running, then, did I?

1.0 GHz (7.5x133) Athlon Thunderbird
PCChips M810LMR (same as some variant of ECS K7SEM, SiS 730s single chipset)
192 MB PC133 (128 MB CL2; 64 MB CL3 that I'm thinking about pulling)
16 MB onboard video (see above)
250w Wintech (with 2x2 12v P4 power connector)
Maxtor 30 GB/5400
Philips (?) CD-RW
Windows 2000 (SP3, should have SP4)
Gateway Vivitron 17" CRT
2/3 of a junk case I found. Should put it in my InWin S500 or The Maxtop.

850 MHz (8.5x100) Athlon Pluto
Asus K7M (Rubies everywhere!) that I haven't yet flashed the HP BIOS out of
256 MB Kingston VR "PC133" (PC100)
16 MB TNT2 Riva/Vanta
200w FortronSource (Sparkle)
Fujitsu 6.4 GB
CD-ROM, maybe an NEC, I brought up from the basement
Fedora Core 2
KDS 15" CRT
InWin A500 midtower

Mum's computer:

2.4 P4 Northwood
Intel motherboard w/AGP (Forget the model, no HM/HNs though!)
384 MB PC2100
32 MB Abit Siluro gF2
250w Wintech (same as the Tbird's)
Western Digital 20 GB
Samsung (?) DVD-ROM
Windows 2000 SP4
17" Systemax CRT
Generic minitower (2x5.25")

The main machine is now housed in a real case (Ultra Aluminus, silver, that I got a good deal on) and has an LG DVD burner, but is otherwise the same.

This is only what I use. I have a couple other projects (K6-2 450, Aopen board; Gateway P2-400 router box) that aren't up and running yet.
