Thanks for the nice comments. Before rounded cable, I always tried to keep my interiors routed as neatly as possible. So I began angular folding of the ribbon cable.

Hey guys! Let's keep the pics coming in this thread.

Yeah, it's candlepowerforums.com that's opened over my girlfriend's pic on the 20" Dell.
The discovery of high powered LED lights has become as addictive and fun as computers. LuxeonStars are cool! A couple of those in your cases and it'll be lit like a nuclear reactor.

Hey! I think everyone's cleaning their desktops before taking pictures - your computer desks look "too clean." I post pictures of my computer in about 2 years okay? (It'll take about that long to get this room back in order) LOL.

I'm envious of how low the cpu temps some of you guys are achieving after such successful overclocks.
I'm held back by temps for my T'bred-B overclock. (12.5 x 167 MHz and 48C, 33-35C case)

Although these days, I'm pursuing quiet PC performance. A fast PC should be seen, not heard. ;-)

Nice case, what brand is that?

My computer desk/room is messy as hell these days!

PCs are sprouting like mushrooms under my desk!

Here's a few more additions to mention since my last post...
I got my hands on 3 freebies a few months ago, (2) Micron PCs w/Intel 1.1GHz Celery Tualatins on Intel 815 motherboards, 512 MB of PC133 CAS2 Micron SDRAM; and a Compaq AMD 1.1GHz Thunderbird on a FIC/Compaq Uwave VIA KT133 based motherboard, 256 MB of SDRAM.
They were all dirty as hell! The following pics are the fruits of my tinkering.

BEFORE:

AFTER:
One of them retained the motherboard/cpu combo. But the TGR psu was swapped with a ACBEL/FortronSource 235W whisper quiet unit.
The HSF was swapped with a Thermaltake Volcano 6 with a 80mm fan grafted to it. Original 92mm case fan swapped for a quieter one out of a Dell workstation.

Intel 1.1 GHz Tualatin Celeron.
Intel D815EFV mATX motherboard.
512 MB PC133 CAS2 Micron SDRAM (maxed-out unfortunately)
Nvidia Geforce4 MX440 64 MB 8x AGP DVI card.
Samsung DVD-ROM.
IDE UDMA-100 HDD slide-out chassis.
VIA chipset USB 2.0 PCI card.
Airnet 11b/g Wifi PCI card.
Win XP sp2.

AFTER part deux:

The 2nd got the intel motherboard pulled and the recapped DFI ATX Socket-A motherboard took up residence. I still have some finishing touches before it's operational. (re-attach northbridge heatsink, solder jumpers to case wire harness) Eventually, a recapped Powerman 250W psu will replace the F-yu capped TGR psu.
I plan to try out Astaro Security Gateway with it.

DFI AK74-SC VIA KT133 ATX Socket-A.
AMD 1.0 GHz Thunderbird.
Thermaltake Volcano 6cu with 80mm fan grafted on.
340 MB PC133 CAS2 SDRAM.
Nvidia 16 MB AGP VGA card (unknown).
20 MB Maxtor.
Memorex CDR-W, Hitachi DVD-ROM.
(1) 3Com PCI NIC
(2) Netgear PCI NIC.

Here's what I did with the Compaq...
Stripped it bare of parts and tossed the fugly minitower case, and utilized a spare old In-win mATX case. Combined it with parts from my defunct DFI-AMD media PC in previous post. It's now running as my current media PC in my living room, and double-duty as internet gateway/router.

Compaq Uwave/FIC VIA KT133 mATX motherboard.
250W Delta psu.
AMD 1.1 GHz Thunderbird.
512 MB PC133 CAS2 Micron SDRAM.
30 GB Maxtor (slim-line), 40 GB WD.
Compaq/Samsung DVD-ROM, and Philips CDR-W.
Mad Dog SiS TV-64 AGP 2x.
Airnet 11b/g WiFi PCI card.
NEC based USB 2.0 PCI card.
DLink PCI NIC.
Win2000 sp4.

Okies, here is the beauty, notice the front of the chassi, it's a Lian-Li PC6277 but by default it only has a 80mm intake fan/hdd cage. Did not like that so I bought a Lian Li EX-34 hdd cage that has a 120mm fan instead...
Of course it came bare so I had to get the LED plastic bits and power and reset buttons in place, good thing I have access to a laser cutting machine

Also in the picture is the new Eizo S2000K 20.1" LCD

you looking for that 478 motherboard with the 6pci slots? i have a PCI riser card that will let you put two more PCI cards in but its made for a LPX case, you know one of those compact and tight cases.

I think it's fun to see where everyone is sitting at when they are typing away :-). Here's my messy setup.

I am using an old 15" Dell monitor sitting on a notebook stand with front propped up by a couple of 2x4 blocks. I pinched the cable on my 19" a couple months ago and haven't had the $$$ to buy another monitor yet. This one works :-). No fancy chair either! The back was falling off so I removed it and just deal with sitting up instead of slouching in my seat! LOL

My computer is an 2002 Gateway 500X. The original harddrive was going bad, so I put in my old 30gb harddrive. I installed a card reader in the empty 3.5" slot. I put in a larger psu and a new video card. It's all pretty basic though - nothing fancy. KVM switch to share the mouse, monitor and keyboard with the old Dell Dimension L566cx (inherited) that's sitting under the desk.

Since my last post about my system, a few things have been upgraded.

Here's the new specs (not much different)

My primary system specs are:

Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz Processor (Prescott, 1MB L2 Cache, Socket 478)
PCCHIPS M955G Socket 478 Motherboard
PQI Turbo PQI3200-1024SB PC3200 DDR RAM
AOpen DVD+RW 8X DVD burner drive
PHILIPS CDD5301 DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive (failing, can't read CDs well anymore)
Western Digital Caviar SE 120GB ATA-100 Hard Drive

Integrated 10/100 Ethernet LAN
Integrated Realtek AC'97 Audio

Razotech Black Transformer Mid-Tower Case
Windows Vista Home Premium

My system cooling things are:

Intel Socket 478 Fan/Heatsink (Came with processor)
Generic 80MM blue LED fan (used as exhaust fan)

-----------------------

Here's my secondary system (basically an upgraded Compaq Presario 6420NX):

AMD Athlon XP 2200+ 1.8GHz Socket 462 T-Bred CPU
MSI MS-6390 Socket 462 motherboard (came with Compaq)
512MB PC2100 DDR RAM (2x256MB)

Integrated 10/100 Ethernet LAN
Integrated VIA AC'97 Audio
L&C LC-B450E 450W power supply (still running fine w/ noisy powerful fan)

Cooling for that system is:

CPU: Some Socket 462 heatsink that came with the Compaq
Case fan: 92MM ADDA sleeve bearing fan (exhaust fan)
