![]() The diode is easy, Schottky diode 40v 1 amp.
Can you clean off the ic with something like alcohol so the logo shows up better? |

![]() Hi R_J
The IC has had the markings taken off, and when I spoke to the manufacturer, they said, " We dont give repair info" Do you have any idea what the Component is with the number 54, or how I can ID it please? |

![]() The board marking suggests it is a ic not a mosfet, What is wrong with it? how can you know the part is bad if you don't know what it is.
Can you provide a couple pictures of the complete board, both sides? Last edited by R_J; 06-14-2022 at 06:08 PM.. |

![]() Hi R_J
The 2nd component has shorted, and started to melt The IC with many legs possibly is Ok |

![]() The Board isnt shorted now, that I have removed the 5 legged Chip.
I cant seem to ID the Manufacturer, and it seems to say HK 54 on it |

![]() But where is it in the circuit? Is it part of the power supply circuit, this might help to identify it.

![]() Hi R_J
There are only 2 boards The Simple board, is basically just an input, where the Power comes in from the Power adapter. We can ignore this, as it’s just a wire connecting it to the main board The Populated board as you can see, has quite a few components on. I have removed the shorted components, which was dragging the whole unit down. The Left silver knob is the Power switch The right is the Tone The unit has an internal battery, that is dead, but I charged it manually, and the whole unit works So it’s not charging due to that component That is all I seem to know I hope this helps? |

![]() Then is likely has to do with charging the battery, trace out the circuit as I can't tell where the traces connect to based on the picture.
There are lithium battery charge ic's like the Tp4054, this may be similar made by some odd manufacture The TP4054 might be close, check the datasheet and see if the pins line up. It looks close from what I can see. Last edited by R_J; 06-14-2022 at 09:41 PM.. |

![]() Thankyou
I have emailed a couple of component suppliers, to see if they can sell me equivalents. I will keep you updated. Thanks |

![]() Here is a photo of the MicrOne version, the logo and markings are different, but I suspect the operation will be the same.
I asked if you traced out the pins to see if this is the same ic, For example, pin 3 seems to connect to CON3, is this where the battery connects??? Last edited by R_J; 06-15-2022 at 02:19 PM.. |
