    Surface Pro 5 No Power

I have a surface pro 5 in for repair. The charge port had liquid damage and some of the pins were corroded off so have replaced the charge port on it, but there is no power.

I am getting 3.3v at the power button and have been following the following :
    POWER ON SEQUENCE (TBD)
    STEP

    Signal & Description
    1. Convert any raw power to +3P3VAS
    3. +3P3V_SAM / Generate SAM's power
    3. SAM_RESET# / Intialize SAM
    4. +VSYS / Declare system power ready
    5. PCH_DPWROK / Declare deep power good to PCH 6.
    6. SLP_SUS# / Request standby power

Everything is good until I get to step 5 PCH_DPWROK which is zero volts.
According to the schematic this is produced by u3600 / MK22FN512VDC12 which is on the back of the board. If I put the thermal camera over it its the only thing heating up on the board, but its only @ 25c so not exactly hot.

It says on the schematic its the SAM, is that another term for the Super IO ?, if so is it replaceable ?.

Re: Surface Pro 5 No Power

When I inserted the zero of the MK22FN512VDC12 chip, I could not get any results. It probably contains software. You need to find the one that was removed from a similar motherboard. You also need to make sure that all required voltages are present before the "PCH_DPWROK" signal.
