Macbook Air A2179 worked before but dead now

Hi,I purchased a broken macbook air which claims to be not working keyboard/trackpad.

I was hoping to be able to fix it by replacing keyboard/trackpad but it got worse.

    1. Macbook came with Catalina
    2. Keyboard Backlight was working
    3. I tried to update to latest OS through software update and it was having error with updating (download was successful and it went reboot).
    4. Error was stuck on boot loop of where It tries update but complaining boot disk blabla
    5. So I connected to Apple Configurator 2 to see if I can revive.
    6. Magically, I can enter DFU with built in keyboard so not sure if its really keyboard issue now.
    7. I tried to revive device but I received 0x3FFF
    8. I also tried restore option but same result 0x3FFF
    9. I also checked the serial number, backplate and system information reported same serial (I got this when macbook was originally working)
    10. When I opened it, I noticed that someone worked on logic board (missing lots of screw)

Apple Configurator 2 shows this error
    "The operation couldn't be completed. (AMRestoreErrorDomain error -1 - Failed to handle message type StatusMsg (Generic error)) [AMRestoreErrorDomain – 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF (-1) [sys = 0x3F, sub = 0xFFF, code = 0x3FFF (16383)]]"

I tried to pull more detailed log but I couldnt find it. (only older version of apple configurator was producing it i guess)

So now, Im stuck. Where should I starts to tackle?

Also between step 4 and 5 (macos update and Apple configurator)
I also tried online recovery (command + r or ctrl + command + r. not sure which one worked)
    I received -2100F error

Also, I tried checkra1n to see if I get anything. (between, i dont think its icloud locked)
It detects DFU mode and also sends payload

      == Checkm8 Trying to run payload... ==
If everything went correctly, you should now have code execution.
      DFU device disconnected

After this, my macbook does not go back to download mode for further execution

      1. Faulty logic board somewhere
      2. Faulty T2 chip/flashrom
      3. Dead SSD

      What could it be...?

Re: Macbook Air A2179 worked before but dead now

          https://boards.rossmanngroup.com/thr...ecovery.63410/

I found similar problem of 0x3FFF

          1. SSD problem
          2. Naked board (I may still have problem with trackpad/keyboard which is causing the problem)

I dont have any spare macbook or parts to test 2nd option.
Is there any ways to test bad SSD with bare board?

          Thanks

            Minor update

I got USB-C power meter and I confirmed that the board jumps to 20V

Meter in dc volts scale (20v or higher is ok).

What is the voltage to ground of ppbus_g3h ?

what is the current draw and voltage reading on your usb C meter? Is the current draw fixed and immediate or climbs up to the current value?
